Ever wondered what it’d be like to be the only raver left in town? In Emil Nava’s video for Example’s Perfect Replacement, Rhys Wilson gives a raw and intense performance as a young man who takes his fierce dance moves to the streets of north London, when life dies in the club.
Perfect Replacement is raw and gritty to reflect Example’s downbeat confessions in the track, and the atmosphere and look were inspired by photos of Emil Nava’s own youthful clubbing adventures. But there is also a silver lining, as our angry young man turns out to be a pied piper of dance music, and finds a new soulmate…
