The UK Music Video Awards 2012 – the 5th annual big awards bash for British music videos – takes place in two days time on Thursday, November 8th – at The Empire, Leicester Square in central London.

Now Directors UK, the professional association for screen directors in the UK, is the latest organisation to come on board as sponsors of the UK Music Video Awards 2012. It’s also the second year in succession that Directors UK has sponsored the UKMVAs.

“Directors UK is delighted to sponsor the UK Music Video Awards for the second year running,” says Stuart Wealands of Directors UK.

“We aim to support directors at all stages of their career and in every screen medium, including one as artistic and diverse as music video. Good luck to all of this year’s nominees.”

Directors UK provides a range of free services and events for members, while also being a community and organisation of directors that fights for fair rewards and recognition of the role and craft of directing in all screen mediums.

Over 30 awards will be presented at the UK MVAs 2012, to honour the best British and international music videos of the past year, and the creativity and technical excellence of the people who’ve made them. Preparations for the ceremony, to be presented once again by Adam Buxton and being held at the prestigious Empire, one of London’s landmark cinemas, for the second year running, are almost complete.
