They’re known for their brilliant visual concepts, but Us – that’s Chris Barrett and Luke Taylor – have now made a confident move into narrative filmmaking, with their video for Feed Me’s Love Is All I Got, featuring the Crystal Fighters on vocals.
It’s a twist on the teen superhero sagas, from Amazing Spider-Man to Kiss Ass, where a young chap is creating his superhero persona against a realistic backdrop. But not is all it seems…
Featuring performances from Christian Kinde as the putative hero and Alexandra Dowling as love interest Chloe, Chris and Luke’s brief was that they had to include the Feed Me character in some way. Needless to say they have done a smart job in creating a whole new superhero character, which has got them started on a whole cinematic direction in their work…
