Theme Park ‘Two Hours’ by Sasha Nathwani

Thursday, 4. October 2012 - 4:30 pm

Theme Park relive the teenage house parties of their youth, with a little help from director Sasha Nathwani, who manages to capture the juvenile spirit rather well. Drinking, skateboarding, loud music and arkward fumblings are aplenty and by avoiding the stereotype of big American features, it feels all the more cosy, familiar and authentic – the setting and audience being pitch perfect.

“On first listening to the track I knew it needed to be youthful and effervescent,” says Sasha. “We were careful to avoid the unrealistic house party elements of American teenage films, drawing instead on my own experiences of growing up in London’s leafy suburbs. Most of the kids who appear in the video were real fans, they were a joy to work with, and played a big part in making the piece that much more natural and authentic.”
