Meursault ‘Dull Spark’ by David Lemm

David Lemm continues to explore the environment in his new video for Scottish band Meursault.
“The concept is loosely based on the rites of many indigenous peoples, where a young guy goes into the wilderness to attain a vision,” explains David. “Additionally, the idea of clarity being found amidst confusion was a key theme after speaking with the band about the meaning of the track.
“That original starting point quickly developed into the idea of a character who is slightly misguided and believes the best way to understand reality is to measure/record everything in sight. As the video goes on the character realises her measurements are pointless and engages fully with her surroundings, eventually obtaining clarity and reaching a state of heightened perception.”
