Taken from their album Family, The Cast Of Cheers turn to Alan Masferrer for the promo to Human Elevator.
Shot in Barcelona and sporting a vintage 70s look, Masferrer introduces a host of characters – some crazy, some normal and some just plain weird – who live in an appartment block, via a doorway (or elevator) to each floor.
“It was a crazy 16 hour shooting day with 13 different set changes and a lot of actors to coordinate” explains Alan. “All the crew did a great job to get the video in the can. As for the concept, I wanted to give the viewer the choice to be anyone, becoming the main character of the story.
“We shot with vintage Kowa anamorphic lenses to get a 70′s vintage look with a 2:35 format to get a more puzzling and subtle style (and to give an extra work to our VFX composer, who had to rebuild some walls of the long shots).
