The Zoup ‘One Shot’ by Craig Gainsborough (Interactive Video)

Craig Gainsborough has brought New Zealand band The Zoup into the ever-expanding world of the interactive music video with this promo for ‘One Shot’. Saying that, this video allows you to replace the band completely – with yourself, your friends, children or simply anyone you like. Upload your images for each band member, play the tadpole game (whilst waiting for it to load) and then lie back and watch all the potential gains and losses you could have experienced by forming a band.
Director Craig says: “We wanted to push the boundaries in New Zealand for internet-based music videos, and also have a bit of fun making something enjoyable and a bit crazy. The Zoup were open to a bit of experimentation and we had seen similar technology used abroad in advertising campaigns, but aside from bands such as Arcade Fire (working with Chris Milk) we had seen little in terms of interactive music videos: so we decided to give it a shot.”
