Porter Robinson ‘Language’ by Jodeb

Jodeb creates his own monster movie (think Skull Island from Peter Jackson’s King Kong) in this hugely adventurous and cinematic promo for Porter Robinson’s Language single.

Jodeb had this to say about the mammoth production: “We shot this video in a wide variety of locations; California in the Malibu Canyons and in Angeles National Forest and pretty much everywhere in New Zealand while I was there on vacation (Tongariro National Park, Milford Sounds, Queenstown, Arthur’s Pass…).

“It was a very passionate project where very personal ideas and experiences were put into it. I tried to capture the essence of the song, which to me expressed a lot of nostalgia in regard to youth and childhood memories. To me, this whole concept is a passage from childhood to adulthood, where you must confront your biggest fears before being able to reach your full potential.

“I watched a lot of Miyazaki movies recently, so I think I got inspired a lot by them for this project.”
