Momo:Tempo ‘Nudge’ 360 Degree Panoramic Music Video

Monday, 6. August 2012 - 11:30 am

There’s something else going on in Weymouth in Dorset right now, apart from (but very much linked to) the Olympic sailing. Here’s the first of two 360° music films that are being premiered at the ICCI360 Arena on Weymouth Beach during the Olympic and Paralympic games as part of the Cultural Olympiad. Its now being shown in the 21 metre dome on a 63 metre x 6 metre screen, while the sailors are out on the water fighting for medals at the 2012 Olympics.

Nudge is a collaboration between Bournemouth-based music artist Momo:Tempo and production company Lovelove Films. The two were brought together by the iNet’s Visual Soundtrack programme, in association with Creative England, INet Southwest creative industries and funded by European Regional Development Fund. They have also teamed Exeter-based Wiseman Productions with hip-hop duo Carpet Face and Audible 1 for another 360° video to also appear at the Weymouth venue.

Audiences of up to 700 at a time are treated to an immersive audio visual experience, and are able to participate in a diverse range of creative and cultural activities during the Olympics, including stunning live music, theatre performances, 360° film presentations, high resolution photography, animations, and interactive gaming events to excite the public and Olympics visitors.

Visual Soundtrack’s Project Director Geoff Foulkes says: “Our project is all about putting creative businesses together and coming up with innovative ways to make music and visuals work. Putting Georgina from LoveLove Films and Timo of Momo:Tempo together made a lot of sense to me as soon I had met them both. They share an infectious desire to do great work, and enjoy the creative process. I know their film will communicate to an immersive audience inside the ICCI360 Arena and can’t wait to see it writ large in Weymouth.”
