Paris Zarcilla offers up this lively one-shot revolving and evolving performance promo for The Milk’s Chip The Kids with a large cast participating in the action.
“We were working on an immensely tight budget (who isn’t these days?) and short turnaround but I was adamant about not making a typical performance piece video,” explains Paris. “The idea is quite technical in its execution but a simple idea which literally revolves around the band as they perform to camera.
“The creativity of the video comes from taking advantage of the frames outside of the camera and what you don’t see. I had them run behind lens and change their position or clothing so when the camera came around again the effect would be a comedic omnipresence.
“With each rotation something is visually different and making an effort to go as far as making changes to the set which was quite strenuous but ultimately a fun video.”
