Aubrey Woodiwiss signs to Colonel Blimp as director
Thursday, 2. August 2012 - 5:30 pm
Already renowned for his first-class work as a senior colourist at The Mill in London, Aubrey Woodiwiss has now signed to Colonel Blimp in London as a music video director, following his two debut videos as a director for Hadouken – for Parasite and the just-released Bad Signal.
Aubrey has worked with some of the world’s leading directors and producers throughout his career as a respected colourist at The Mill, and has consistently received award nominations for his work on top commercials and music promos. Alongside his in-demand grading skills, Aubrey has also been writing for the company’s blog since 2010 and regularly contributes a round-up of all things good and great in the music video world.
In 2012, Aubrey stepped out of the shadows of post-production and behind the camera for his directorial debut. He immediately delivered a clever, stomach-turning promo for Hadouken’s single Parasite, marking him as a director to watch. His second video for Hadouken, Bad Signal, takes advantage of his finely-tuned eye for colour, bringing a neon-hued finish to his tense and tightly-paced style.
“We’re really excited to have Aubrey over here,” says Nathan James Tettey, directors rep at Colonel Blimp.
