Lemar ‘Invincible’ by Carly Cussen

Aided by a strong cast (including Lemar’s son), director Carly Cussen heads off to the English seaside to shoot this lovely biopic of sorts for Lemar’s single Invincible.
‘With the video for invincible I wanted to create a timeless piece. The video delicately narrates a fictional heart-pinching story of Lemar’s childhood love” explains Carly.
“Complimented with Aaron’s beautiful cinematography and the stunning surroundings of Camber Sands, capturing real natural moments of chemistry between the actors as well as choreographed sequences gave us loads of options for the edit”.
Executive producer Luti Fagbenle had this to say about the shoot:
“We used the grade by John Holloway to take us through different periods of time. Despite the very tight budget and schedule, we managed to wrangle two epic cameras.
“This gave Carly the flexibility to shoot narrative with the A unit, and leave the B cam on standby to shoot the carefully timed crane performance around sunlight and weather”.
