Hot Chip ‘Look At Where We Are’ by Danny Perez

The latest Creators Project puts together British electronic champs Hot Chip with Danny Perez, best known for his collaborations with Animal Collective, particularly the visual album ODDSAC – and the results are an odd and opaque take on the Frankenstein myth.
In the first part the scientist/master dismantles his beautiful creation, filling the luminous, gooey mass behind her face with strawberries. In the second part – possibly a flashback, his creation is certainly behaving monstrously, in a very modern way. She’s the reluctant model on as big fashion shoot – reluctantly wearing a spectacular headdress. She’s having none of it…
