Alt-J ‘Tessellate’ by Alex Southam

Alex Southam re-creates a modern, hip-hop version of Raphael’s School Of Athens painting in his promo for Alt-J’s Tessellate single (which certainly isn’t hip-hop).
The Tessellate video also bears a resemblance to REM’s Imitation Of Life promo by Hammer & Tongs (who have just announced their split after 17 years) – and Alex makes good use of the ‘delta’ symbol – ∆ – that’s revealed by pressing ‘alt-j’ on a computer keyboard. Very cool.
