Jesse John Jenkins, who has made his name as a photographer shooting the likes of Adele, Jesse J, Florence + the Machine, the Vaccines, NERD and Kate Moss, is now making the transition to directing – and made a cracking debut music video.
Jesse John has signed to Partizan, and also just directed the promo for The Vaccines’ No Hope, mixing a story of a young teenage boy’s crush on an older girl with some band presence in a very assured, bright and breezy style.
“I’m super excited to welcome Jesse to Partizan,” says Claire Stubbs, Partizan’s head of music videos in London. “He has a natural ability as a filmmaker and has taken the leap from photography to directing with ease.”
