Marisa Garner, the highly experienced London-based freelance music video commissioner, has launched Marisa Garner Associates – aka MGA – to represent a select roster of British and American directors, that includes British video directing legends Vaughan Arnell and Nigel Dick.

Vaughan – renowned for his classic videos for Robbie Williams (including Rock DJ, Millenium, and Supreme), George Michael (Outside, Fast Love), Spice Girls and many more, and based at Stink for commercials – is currently directing a new video, for new artist Josh Kumra.

Nigel Dick similarly needs little introduction: the director of over 300 videos, including the Britney Spears classic Hit Me Baby One More Time, Oasis’s Wonderwall, Pussycat Dolls’ Stuckwitu and many more – and winning numerous MTV, MVPA and Billboard awards along the way – Nigel is still passionate about making videos and continues to be in demand on both sides of the Atlantic.

MGA is also the UK representative for the roster of US companies Artists And Derelicts – the boutique label under the DNA umbrella helmed by exec producer Missy Galandia and producer Heather Heller – and Independent Media Inc., which represents feature film talent.

The Artists And Derelicts roster includes Matt Stawksi, who has recently directed two videos for new girlgroup Stooshe, Cee-Lo’s F**k You, The Wanted’s Lighting, and more; and also Evan Dennis. Independent Media represents a hugely exciting collection of talent from Philip Seymour Hoffman to Wally Pfister, Januz Kaminski to Scott Hicks and Doug Liman, who will occasionally be available for prestige music projects.

Marisa, who will continue to also commission music videos on a freelance basis, says she is excited to set up MGA. “I’m extremely pleased to launch this new venture,” she says. “It’s truly a pleasure to be working with such highly acclaimed award-winning talent along with developing an exciting fresh collection of new multi-skilled directors.”
