Keane screen Bayona and Sanchez-directed video for Disconnected in London

The video directed by Bayona and Sanchez – respectively director and writer of cult Spanish horror movie The Orphanage – was filmed in Barcelona (apparently in a haunted house), paying homage to the 70′s horror movie aesthetic. It is a Canada/Breakfast Club production, with Oscar Romagosa producing.
The evening included a Q&A with Keane themselves and Bayona and Sanchez. “I feel close to what Keane do,” said JA Bayona. “Their music is timeless, they do their own thing and I admire that.” While Sergio G Sanchez added: “I have been a fan for years and they finally let us make a video for them! Everyone can relate to what they do because their music tells a coming of age story.”
“The video perfectly sums up the imagery that the song conjures up,” said Keane lead singer Tom Chaplin. “It’s the best video we’ve made.”
The video precedes Bayona and Sanchez’s next feature-length collaboration, to be released at the end of this year: The Impossible, an epic drama set during the Thailand tsunami in 2004 and starring Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor.
