Ollie Murray’s promo for The Horrors’ new single is a seriously cool, swirling, colour-bursting gem playing with perception and shadows to great psychedelic effect – enhancing the detached mood of the anthemic Still Life.
Producer Sam Kennedy: “The Horrors wanted something bizarre and thought-provoking that needed to be achievable on an extremely minimal budget, even for promos! From treatment to delivery the job was turned around in 8 days to meet the appropriate deadlines.”
This is Ollie Murray’s debut as a solo director in promos, having previously directed work like Field Music’s Let’s Write A Book with Rohan Wadham as Decoy. Good start.
