Between The Eyes directors fully merged into Pulse roster as Aitken and Pugh focus on next Eran Creevy feature

Nearly a year after the music video and advertising operation of Between The Eyes moved into Pulse Films, the BTE directing roster – including Emil Nava, Ben Newman and Mat Whitecross – has now been completely merged into the Pulse roster.

The move – officially confirming an arrangement that has existed in practice since the partnership began between Between The Eyes and Pulse – means that BTE founders Rory Aitken and Ben Pugh will now fully focus on feature film production. Their next film going into production is Welcome To The Punch, to be directed by Eran Creevy following his acclaimed BAFTA-nominated debut Shifty. The action crime thriller set in London will shoot later this year.

Between The Eyes directors have enjoyed notable success in the past year under the Pulse umbrella: Ben Newman won the best new director award at the 2010 UK MVAs last October, while Mat Whitecross has shot high-profile videos for Take That and Coldplay – and is about to co-direct a new take That video with Eran Creevy. Meanwhile Emil Nava has just directed his second Jessie J video, for Price Tag (above), which looks likely to be as hugely successful as his first for Do It Like A Dude.
