BUG 21: Glez.’s Todo El Tiempo by Jesús Hernández/NYSU
Thursday, 30. September 2010 - 11:40 am
Previously here, and at BUG, was Barcelona-based directing outfit NYSU Films and director Jesús Hernández’s viral hit for Mondrian’s Last Breakfast On Planet Surf – featuring that sexy Korean girl getting unusually creative in the kitchen and making that astonishing sandwich.
Food also plays a part in NYSU’s next, very different work for Spanish indie band Glez.: a dinner, a family gathering of sorts, with the quality of an old master crossed with Kind Hearts And Coronets – and then visually treated in a completely original fashion.
Brilliantly-made, beautifully structured and, like the Mondrian vid, Todo el Tiempo delivers an exquisite, vengeful climax. Hell hath no fury, indeed. Absolutely superb video.
