UK Music Video Awards 2010: download entry forms now

Entry for the UK Music Video Awards 2010 is now open, and entry forms for many of the categories at this year’s MVAs – which was launched on Monday – can now be downloaded here at Promo News.
UK MVAs 2010 are now accepting entries for 17 awards honouring the best work in music video by a British director, company, artist or commissioner, the best technical achievement in a video by a British individual, or a non-Brit in a UK-commissioned video, the best work in British music TV/online advertising and live music coverage, and more. Entry forms for these awards can be downloaded below, and also from the UK MVAs 10 website.

Best Budget Video – Rock/Indie-Alt
Best Cinematography in a Video
Best Visual Effects in a Video
Entered videos are to be uploaded to the MVAs’ online judging platform administered by BEAM TV. More details, and conditions for entry – which may vary from category to category – are on the forms. The fee for each entry is £40 plus VAT, plus a one-time admin fee to upload an entry onto the judging platform – the same as at the MVAs for the past two years.
The deadline for entering these categories of the UK Music Video Awards 2010 is Tuesday, August 3rd.
Judging for the UK MVAs will begin in August with the online judging round by the MVAs extensive panel of Jury Members from the UK music video industry – and all entries in the best video categories will be automatically considered for the Video of the Year award. Longlists for the individual awards and best international video will also be announced in August.
Nominations will be announced in mid-September, and then the third UK Music Video Awards to honour and celebrate the best in British music video creativity will take place at the Odeon West End in Leicester Square on Tuesday October 12th.
Tickets for the event are also now on sale on the new MVAs website – again held to the same price as the MVAs in 2008 and 09. You can download the MVA 10 ticket reservation form here.
