Tinie Tempah’s Frisky by Tim Brown
Wednesday, 19. May 2010 - 9:30 am

After his No. 1 single Pass Out, Tinie Tempah replays his successful team-up with Tim Brown for new single Frisky – and this Tim gives the British urban video an injection of high fashion promo.
Tinie’s subterranean vibe gets invaded by couture-garbed girls – styled by Cynthia Lawrence-John. It’s frisky.

I like this, awesome wardrobe and make up! Nicely shot.
Tempah has a funny voice though, lol

The styling is good but I think its really boring.. the location is bad and the lighting is even worse.

The styling and hair are the only saving grace – the lighting isn’t near glossy or editorial enough to match them. Shame really.

This is definitely a nice video for the genre, and styled very well…I have to agree on the lighting though…It’s not like Denzil Armour-Brown to drop the ball!

‘Nice video for the genre’ ??? Imagineer I really hate you.

what lets this down…….is the god awful performance………..its the bain of many potentially good vids and something directors have very little power over………….the suits say MORE PERFORMANCE IN THIS CUT when the performance is the weakest link.
i like the location, i think the DOP has made the best of a bad day, i like the casting to certain degree and some of the costumes wowed my eyes………..but those two limp idiots………tell them to take their sunglasses off…….THEY ARE IN A GODDAM BASEMENT.

This song is so bad the video is almost irrelevant.
Lyric quote:
“she looks delicious,
she likes to talk alot thats why i call her tricia”
and so on.
This is a deplorable enegry sapping void of a song. The lyrics sound like they are written by a mentally challenged, hard to reach teenager taking a government run, out-reach training course in poetry and self expression.
Who cares about the lighting in the video. Why has this been made at all is the real question. Beggars belief.

Imagineer is right! Dodgy urban video – genre conventions are gonna box you right in with that. Just look at the hackneyed setting. Or their sunglasses! Cliche-ridden doesn’t even cover it.
As for the styling – no amount of overexposed Gareth Pugh from two seasons ago is gonna make it look impressive. Lazy all ’round.

The wardrobe and make up was stunning! Unfortunate the direction and location was a bit of let down. Tinie didn’t look cool, standing around in slightly unappetising mids and wides. Denzel is usually an amazing DP and it seemed like all the lighting he did do wasn’t getting rewarded with any results. It was like watching the Franz Ferdinand promo ‘No You Girls’ but the poor man’s version.

It feels like the talented essemble had tried but not enough and the usual promo compromises appear ie lazy performances, cheap/dull locations and formulaic imagery…
