BUG 16: Holly Throsby feat. Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy’s Would You? By Mike Daly

It was completed more than six months ago, but we finally caught up with this lovely video for Australian singer-songwriter Holly Throsby by Mike Daly, a director and visual effects artist from Sydney who last year won Australian Music Video of the Year at the J Awards for his FX-heavy video for Aussie hip-hop outfit The Herd’s 2020.
Mike shot this haunting and distinctive piece – featuring an ingenious rotating lightbulb rig – for old childhood pal Throsby, before relocating to Paris shortly afterwards.
And he would prefer not to explain how the shot of the falling girls was achieved – although this did not involve having them jump off a platform into a foam-pit (his original idea).
