The Ganzfield Procedure by Keith McCarthyThe second of the Colonel Blimp-produced music-based shorts made as part of the BBC Electric Proms last month, and like Ninian Doff, director of the one featuring Metronomy’s On Dancefloors, Keith McCarthy was selected to realize his script The Ganzfield Procedure – inspired by Florence and the Machine’s Dog Days Are Over – from hundreds of entries.

Keith’s first short Case 52 was a festival hit, and now The Ganzfield Procedure – an experiment in sensory deprivation that becomes an psychological journey of recovered memories for one of the participants – has been selected for the 6th London Short Film Festival in January.

beautiful, emotive, clever and charming. Great photography and sound design, and subtle acting.

Best thing to come out of the BBC new music shorts scheme to date.

    i reckon anyway…..

Agreed. I really liked this one.

Great mood, acting, cinematography. Very mature piece of work. Money well spent by the BBC (A rare statement indeed!)
