The audience of BUG: The Evil-ution of Music Video were given a very special Halloween treat at the BFI Southbank on Saturday night. Host Corin Hardy’s special guest Edgar Wright, having presented a wonderful selection of his own work, including clips from Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and his Grindhouse trailer Don’t, then introduced his own special guest, who came up on stage to introduce the final video of the evening.

It was John Landis, director of American Werewolf in London, Animal House, Trading Places, The Blues Brothers – and, of course, Michael Jackson’s Thriller. John took to the stage to a standing ovation, and before the show ended with a screening of Thriller, he told a fascinating and hilarious story about the making of the video involving legendary horror star Vincent Price.
