Jason Argyropoulos on making the video for Throw Me the Statue’s Hi-Fi Goon

“The animals were all HD stock footage of the beasts roaming in africa. We cut them out and placed them into the suburban jungle of Oregon. Big thanks to Renee Tymn for her brilliant artful composites.

“The poo was hand crafted from red clay and mixed with some straw I found during scouting. A PA made it -we found a photo on his smart phone and he set to work. Guess he was a natural.

“It was a fun shoot – a great band with a really excellent bit of luck on this one. I had three days to prep the job and we shot in a day with a crew of 7. We managed to have a lot of fun, but honestly we had two takes max pretty much, and then we had to switch to the next shot or location. The idea was to keep things moving and have fun and see what happened.

“If possible I wanted to send out a special thanks to Bent Image Lab for their support.”
