Impressive video for the remix of Example’s new single by Ben Newman – his second Example vid after the equally impressive Hooligans.
All about a young lady who doesn’t need a gym to do her gymnastics. Great idea, effectively done – on another teeny budget.

Ben Newman on making the video for the remix of Example’s Watch The Sun Come Up
“Example’s label approached me to make a video for the remix of ‘Watch the Sun Come Up’ by Devils Gun. I’m a big fan of the song and have known the Devils Gun boys for a while. I didn’t want to compete with the main video so decided to leave Elliot (Example) out of it and concentrate on a key character and simple narrative.
“The budget was £2K so I couldn’t really afford to be too adventurous but knew I wanted to make something clean and ‘pop like’ that would appeal to his fans. So the bendy, chav, dancing girl was born!
“I found Erin Jamenson through the world champion free runner Tim Sheiff (who also features in the video). She is amazing and has really no fear. The location in Hackney is a place I’ve been obsessed about for a long while – it’s beautiful and acts as an amazing backdrop for Erin to dance through.
“I just need to say a very special thanks to Dave Miller who DoP’d – he did an amazing job and hired himself out at a rate that most runners would laugh at. He really loves what he does and it was great working with him and his crew. Also to US3 productions who came in at the last minute to help organise and manage production.”

inspirational video, really great shots, the original video was great, but I think the simplicity of this one makes it so much purer and enjoyable. Fantastic video.

this remix i listen to everyday since i hurd it on mtv dance, amazing video really makes you open your eyes to the world around us.
Video is amazing erin jameson was a good find for this.
One of the best songs i have ever hurd. Il be listen to this one for a long time! love it!!!

Her name is erin jameson, she’s from north west london area and probably about 19 if I remember correctly… I used to be friends with her older sister.
She’s a gymnast. An amazingly talented one at that. You can find some of her work on youtube etc..
