BUG 13: Oi Va Voi’s Everytime by Kijek & Adamski

In the pantheon of deviously complicated, fiendishly difficult-to-execute animation ideas, this one by young Polish animators Katarzyna Kijek & Przemyslaw Adamski is not quite Firekites, but it ranks pretty high.
It will be forever known as the shredding machine video. Every third frame of the band performance was printed, then shredded, then shot again and blended with adjacent frames. Katarzyna explains everything the comments on the Vimeo post – in at least four languages.
It took one mind-numbing month to complete, and it’s lovely.
