Brilliant Japanese film and music video director Koichiro Tsujikawa has joined Passion Pictures for commercials and music video representation in Europe.
A former graphic designer before moving into directing in the late 1990s, Koichiro is famed for his longstanding collaboration with musician Keigo Oyamada (aka Cornelius) for whom he has produced several extraordinary videos – including Fit Song and Music.
He has also directed music videos for other artists, and commercials for Tower Records, Sony Ericsson, Hitachi and Smirnoff. And Koichiro’s most recent project is Kimagure Robot, an adaptation of a story by acclaimed science fiction writer Shinichi Hoshi.
Passion executive producer Andrew Ruhemann says, “In an industry bursting with talented directors, Koichiro’s work is truly in a class of its own. His films are stunningly inventive and beautifully crafted… We look forward immensely to working with Koichiro and his team at Spoon in Tokyo.”
