Snow Patrol’s The Lightning Strike live visuals by Atticus FinchNot content with writing era-defining multi-million sellers, Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody came up with the idea for a 16-minute HD animation played as screen visuals as the band play the epic three-track song-cycle called The Lightning Strike on their current Take Back The Cities world stadium tour.

The tour’s video director Blue Leach from Splinter Films called in Atticus Finch, with Chris Richmond providing creative direction and production by Jim Waters, to realise the singer’s idea of a representing the world and the universe as origami.

They animated rockets, satellites, fish, rainbows, cars – and a Snow Patrol gig in ‘CGI origami’.

In a little over three months, they created over 24,000 frames of bespoke animation to be played out onto a 60 x 40ft projection screen. For the first six minutes this is hung in from of the band before moving to massive LED screens behind them.

Is there anywhere we can see this film? We caught it in a concert but would love to be able to view it online in its original form.

The animated film is included in Snow Patrol’s latest CD/DVD release “Up To Now” along with loads of Snow Patrol promos, documentaries and other previously unseen footage. Enjoy!

A benefit of the live TV is that, you can watch the channels running in any nation from any part of the world. It helps you to get the information about them. Students can watch educational channels run by the world renowned universities.
