Jack Penate’s Today’s Tonight by Alma Har’el

It’s wacky and wonderful, and very sexy.
Jack Penate gets a sea-change video to go with his musical advancement from Alma Har’el, director of the excellent Beirut video for Elephant Gun a couple of years back. And this one has a similar, slightly bygone joie de vivre.
So Jack has left his skiffle roots, and fallen in with a bunch of bohemian dancers in a nouvelle vague circus movie – and in particular with a girl with very fine legs. And let’s not forget the tortoise. Jack looks decidedly tousled, but loving every minute.
Alma shot it in sun-kissed LA earlier this month – and her key collaborator was Ryan (Sir) Heffington, artistic director of the Hysterica Dance Company, who choreographed and quite possibly features in the vid as one of the gang. Excellent stuff.
