Peter Bjorn & John’s Nothing To Worry About by Andreas Nilsson – now signed to Streetgang

Streetgang Films have announced the signing of talented Swedish director Andreas Nilsson for international music video production, with representation by Alexa Haywood at Free Agent in the UK, and Labuda Management in the US.
Over the past few years, Malmo-based Andreas has directed critically acclaimed work for The Knife, Moby, Slagsmalklubben, José Gonzalez and others, and his recent work includes the superbly chilling video for Fever Ray’s If I Had A Heart, two videos for White Lies – Death and Lose My Life – and the wonderful clip for Peter Bjorn & John’s new single Nothing To Worry About.
With co-director Filip Nilsson, Andreas documented the meeting of an ageing gang of Japanese rockabilly fanatics called Black Shadow for the PB&J video – focussing on Gin, their massively-pompadoured, somewhat terrifying leader.
“There is a subculture in Tokyo where gangs dance to rockabilly music in this large park,” explains commissioner Jill Kaplan. “We collaborated with Black Shadow and another gang called Strangers for this video. Everything is real!”
And it’s great.

i am totally captivated by this video. it’s a brilliant little documentary with a great soundtrack; a window into something i’d never have seen otherwise.
