Stylish, imaginative, impressive new video for new A&M/Polydor signing Dan Black by French direction/design team Chic & Artistic, who have lots of stop-frame fun with Dan – clearly a real trouper who shows Sledgehammer-levels of artist dedication.

Chic & Artistic are Corinne Bance and Axel D’Harcourt – directors, graphic designers, motion graphics and post artists, who directed Dan’s previous, elast-tastic video for Yours and are also collaborating with Dan for his artwork and online visuals.

For the Alone video they wanted to evoke its “endless desire won’t leave me alone” lyric where Dan “…was dreaming when the bomb blew”. The dreams overflow out of his head and onto the his face and skin – which took two days of extreme patience as Corinne and Axel created the stop-frame animation and green-screen work.
