Lesser Panda’s Ghostdance by JMDLesser Panda’s Ghostdance by JMD – aka John Major’s Daughters, aka Joe and Tim – is atmospheric, and looks really good. With a couple of views you begin to appreciate just how good. Thanks to the valuable (and pretty unmistakeable) contribution of audio-visual maestros United Visual Artists, all the lighting in the vid throbs in perfect time with the track.

“It was done by running light bulbs through DMX dimmers and from them into an amazing piece of software developed by UVA which means that we could put all of the bulbs directly in sync with the track,” explain Joe and Tim. “We broke the track down into sections and created live visuals to match each section. This meant that all the lighting effects were created live and were perfectly in sync with the music.”

And JMD are now looking for new representation for their music video work. Their producer Paul McLoone has now left Manifesto Films to set up his own company P For Production, but that’s going to focus on commercials.
