Radar-winning video for Kylie’s Slow by Terry Duthu, Kevin Philips and Trey HockThe Radar Festival Music Video Awards, held at the ICA in London last Saturday, saw young directors of winning entries take honours, prize money, video commissions and mentorships for their work for tracks from a range of artists including Just Jack, The Good The Bad The Queen, The Heavy, and Kylie Minogue and others from top UK labels.

And it was the video for Kylie’s Slow, from the American team of directors Terry Duthu and Kevin Philips and producer Trey Hock, which was the big winner on the night. The brilliantly imaginative video won the £1000 label prize from Parlophone, the Abbey Road Interactive-sponsored Popular vote worth £1K in post production – by winning an online poll in which they gained over 600,000 votes – and a mentoring deal with Draw Pictures.

Other winners included Joe Brener, who directed a clip for Maps and will also now be mentored by Draw, Tom Edmonds, to be mentored by Black Dog following his video for The Heavy, Charlie Cattrall, director of a video for The Cinematic Orchestra, who will be mentored by The Directors Bureau, and Ross Phillips, who won the Qoob TV Student award and a commission from Ninja Tune following his clip for The Heavy.
